OPERATIONS
Operation committees are responsible for ensuring
tournament play proceeds in a timely and professional manner.
SCORING CONTROL: Responsible for relaying and
verifying player scores, requests rulings, report interval
violations and requests emergency services from First Aid.
SPECTATOR
INFORMATION: Displays
upcoming players’ scores in relation to par on thru boards on
selected holes.
STANDARD BEARERS: Walk with players displaying
names and scores in relation to par.
WALKING SCORERS: Walk with the players recording
their scores, recording all shots getting to the green and
putts.
GREEN
REPORTERS: Receives scoring sheet from walking
scorer, phones it in to Scoring Control and enters the info on
a S.E.T. terminal for use on the electronic scoreboards.
RUNNERS: Pick-up score sheet from walking scorer
and take it for copying.
MARSHALS: Enforce crowd control during play,
ensuring players safe and easy access from hole to hole and
signaling the gallery for quiet as players address the ball.
CADDIES: Coordinates LPGA "caddie shack" and
amateur caddies needed during the Pro-am events. |
